RAID (Richmond AID) are a user led Deaf and Disabled People’s Organisation (DDPO) meaning our board is 75% or more Disabled. This ensures that the organisation’s work is shaped by Disabled people with lived experience of disability and a strong rights-based perspective.
We follow the Social Model of Disability which focuses on removing barriers in society, such as inaccessible services, discrimination, or lack of support. We work to empower Deaf and Disabled people to have control over their lives, access their rights, and participate fully in their communities.
On Friday, February 27th 112 Club Members and guests attended the annual Captain’s Farewell Dinner. During his year in office, Captain Ron Lay’s charity was Momentum, a local charity who support families across Southwest London, Surrey and Sussex whose children are receiving treatment for Cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.
When elected as Captain, Bill Boucher’s chosen charity for 2026/27 will be Ruils. They are a locally based charity whose mission is to support those with disabilities to live independently. They are close to his heart as have really helped his family, and many, many others.

Our 2025 Champion was James Tyler from Ipswich with a 69. Having previously been pipped an couple of times on countback James was delighted to eventually win the trophy.
